Yang Hyun jun to Celtic transfer 'AGREED' at last as Brendan Rodgers gets Gangwon sign-off with final fee revealed

Celtic have 'agreed' a deal to sign South Korean star Yang Hyun-Jun.

The Hoops are looking to make it three summer signings as they begin their pre-season preparations with the Gangwon forward previously doing all he can to make a switch to Glasgow happen. Reports suggested both clubs had entered negotiations for the midfielder who can bolster attacking options for Brendan Rodgers after he secured the services of Marco Tilio and Odin Thiago Holm. Now, according to Sports Chosun, a deal has been struck for Yang to join the Treble winners.

The 21-year-old was unwilling to let his dream of a move to Parkhead die and it appears Rodgers and co have moved quickly to secure the talent. The report states a fee has been agreed in the region of £2.1million for the attacker. Busan IPark midfielder Kwon Hyeok-kyu has also been touted as a player Celtic could look to swoop for.

It was said Kwon was a target under previous boss Ange Postecoglou and it appears Rodgers could reignite a swoop for the 22-year-old before the new season begins. The report states the clubs meet earlier this month to discuss a move for Yang, but that the amount the Hoops touted for Kwon in the winter window was 'raised' this time.

Celtic were said not to have 'given up' on the midfielder and could make it a trio of South Koreans in Glasgow as the targeted paid join forward Oh.
