Alvaro Morata predicts 'danger' awaiting Scotland in Euro qualifying as he hints Spain WILL still win group

Alvaro Morata reckons Spain are finding their shooting boots - and can still overthrow Scotland to win their Euro qualifying group.

Luis de la Fuente's team picked Georgia apart in Tbilisi with skipper Morata netting a hat-trick on their way to a 7-1 win. They still have ground to make up on the runaway Scots, whose win against Cyprus later on Friday night moved them onto 15 points and maintained their 100 per cent record in Group A.

Steve Clarke's team now just need one more win to qualify but can also do so without kicking another ball in the competition if Georgia and Norway draw on Tuesday night. After the ticket to Germany is sealed, attentions will turn to winning the group and achieving as high a seeding as possible when the draw comes around.

Scotland remain nine points ahead of Spain although the former world and European champions have two games in hand and still have to host the Scots in Seville next month as the nations battle it out to see who tops the group. And Atletico Madrid striker Morata reckons Scotland could yet find it tough again in Tbilisi after previously losing there twice.

The former Real Madrid, Chelsea and Juventus star said: "It was a very dangerous place for us to go. It was a game that was pivotal to the standings in the group table.

"Teams in this group, including Scotland who are top of the table, have still to go here and may have trouble because it wasn't easy despite the scoreline. I believe we could beat anyone playing like that though. When you have great players in your team who provide chances for me, it's very easy to score goals. We are all in a very good place after a win like that."
