Alex Baptiste reflects on future prospects as Bolton Wanderers inform of contract decision
Alex Baptiste believes he can continue his playing career whether it is at Bolton Wanderers or not and has no issue if his second spell at the club comes to an end.
The 36-year-old is out of contract this summer at Wanderers and it is possible that his second spell at the club could be about to come to an end.
Baptiste played 42 times for the club in the 2020/21 campaign as Wanderers secured automatic promotion out of League Two and signed a one-year contract extension last summer.

In the recently concluded League One campaign, Baptiste has played 18 times in all competitions and scored once in the opening day 3-3 draw versus MK Dons.
The veteran found game time more difficult to come by in the second half of the campaign and made what could well be his final Bolton appearance in the final day 4-2 win over Fleetwood Town.
Wanderers boss Ian Evatt spoke to his squad yesterday will have informed those players who are out of contract this summer if they will be offered fresh terms or not.
Baptiste knows he is closer to the end of his playing career than he is at the start, but is keen to continue playing and wants to keep getting minutes on the pitch and feels he can do so in League One and League Two, as well as in non-league.
Speaking at the club's End of Season Awards ceremony on Sunday evening before learning yesterday about his future, Baptiste was fine if his time at Wanderers is about to come to end and stressed how much his old Blackpool team mate Evatt wants promotion next season.
