Alejandro Garnacho sums up Kobbie Mainoo in three-word verdict after Manchester United win

Alejandro Garnacho took centre stage for Manchester United with two goals to stun Aston Villa during their 3-2 comeback win on Wednesday night. However, the supremely talented Argentina forward is, seemingly, prepared to share the limelight with fellow Academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo.

The teenagers have become regular starters for United and they took on a leading role in helping them grab three points against high-flying Villa under dramatic circumstances. United - playing their first game since Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed his minority takeover - went 2-0 down in another shocking opening 45 minutes.

At that stage, Erik ten Hag and his misfiring team appeared to be heading for a ninth defeat in the Premier League already this season. Garnacho, though, had other ideas with a top second-half display.

He scored twice to restore parity for United and Rasmus Hojlund netted the winner. That was the Dane's first goal in the top-flight since moving to Old Trafford in a £72million transfer from Italian side Atalanta this summer.

Garnacho naturally drew plenty of plaudits for setting United on their way to a dramatic 3-2 win.

However, almost straight after the final whistle sounded, the 19-year-old logged on to Instagram to share the love with supporters as well as namedropping Mainoo in one of his social media posts. Garnacho uploaded a picture to his story showing the pair celebrating one of his goals, and added a glowing three-word verdict.

It read: "What a player!" Garnacho added a single love heart emoji to his post.
