Brandon Williams trolls Marcus Rashford as Manchester United star ends goal drought

Manchester United's loanee defender Brandon Williams has poked fun at Marcus Rashford after the winger scored his first goal at Old Trafford this season.

Rashford bagged United's second at the Theatre of Dreams against Tottenham Hotspur as he expertly placed the ball beyond the dive of Guglielmo Vicario. Sadly for the Reds, it was not to be the winner as Rodrigo Bentancur scored moments into the second half to share the spoils.

For the 26-year-old, Sunday's goal proved to be the end of an abysmal run in front of goal at home. Incredibly, Rashford's last goal at Old Trafford came on May 25 as the Reds thumped Chelsea 4-1.

Clearly, the relief of scoring at home was not lost on Rashford as he took to Instagram to mark the moment. He wrote: "It’s a great feeling to have scored again at Old Trafford.

"I want to thank the fans who always support me and the team." While the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho congratulated the forward, Williams took the opportunity to poke fun at his teammate.

Replying, the current Ipswich Town defender wrote: "You remembered where the net was at Old Trafford? Finally we’re winning the league."

Williams has spent this season with former United assistant Kieran McKenna at Portman Road as the Tractor Boys push for promotion to the Premier League. So far, the 23-year-old has scored two goals in 17 appearances for the Championship club.

Despite being a regular in September and October, Williams' playing time has decreased in recent weeks and he is now an intermittent starter in Suffolk.
