Adrien Rabiot’s mum has already handed Man Utd significant transfer boost

Manchester United's pursuit of Adrien Rabiot has received a boost as the player's mother and agent stated that the player's camp are "on excellent terms" with the club.

Despite previous transfer opportunities falling through, it appears United may be reigniting their interest in Rabiot with talks set to take place after ending his five-year spell at Juventus. The 29-year-old midfielder became a free agent earlier this month, having not renewed his contract.

Rabiot was close to joining United in 2020 and, during his time at Paris-Saint Germain, but the move was halted by then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Another attempt to sign him in 2022 collapsed amid reports of excessive wage demands, leading Erik ten Hag to choose Casemiro instead.

Yet, according to Rabiot's representative, there's no lingering resentment towards Manchester United. Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Veronique Rabiot confirmed the good relationship with the Red Devils saying: "We are on excellent terms with Manchester United."

She also clarified past interactions with the club, noting that while there was an expression of interest, financial discussions were never a sticking point. "United wanted to meet me to illustrate their interest in Adrien, but we never talked about money in detail because he quickly decided to stay in Turin," she said in November 2023, reports the Mirror.
