Man Utd told to sign Federico Chiesa – and they can get him for ‘discounted’ rate

Louis Saha has urged Manchester United to sign Federico Chiesa amid reports he's available for under £20million.

The Juventus winger, whose agent recently visited England to speak with potential suitors, was previously in high demand after his stellar Euro 2020 campaign. Liverpool offered £85m for his services in 2021, though their offer was swiftly rejected.

Since then, Chiesa's star has waned amid injury troubles, lacklustre performances at club level, and a muted showing at Euro 2024. And with his contract expiring next summer, the 26-year-old is reportedly available on the cheap.

United are on the hunt for forwards, with Erik ten Hag's squad looking a little light on quality in attacking areas, and former Red Devils forward Saha reckons Chiesa could be the solution.

"Manchester United should go and sign Federico Chiesa from Juventus," Saha said in an interview with csdb.gg. "I love him as a player, he is so passionate and will cause plenty of trouble for the opposition whether he is at the top of his game or not."

Juventus, under the guidance of new manager Thiago Motta, are reportedly planning a major squad overhaul, with Chiesa among eight first-team players on the transfer list. As such, the Turin club have slapped a £20m price tag on the winger, though according to Corriere dello Sport, they're prepared to drop their asking price to £15m.
