Manchester United targeting at least three more signings before transfer window closes

Manchester United want to make at least three more signings in the final three weeks of the summer transfer window.

United's recruitment has stalled amid a lack of outgoings since Mason Greenwood was sold to Marseille for a fee rising to £26.6million on July 18.

A deal for Bayern Munich right back Noussair Mazraoui is contingent on the intended sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham United. Wan-Bissaka's representatives remain in talks about his personal terms.

United are proactively attempting to sell centre back Victor Lindelof but the 30-year-old only played two halves of football during pre-season due to a niggle. Lindelof, like Wan-Bissaka, is out of contract next year.

Everton have rejected two bids of £43m and £50m from United for Jarrad Branthwaite and United have not tabled a third offer since they bought fellow centre back Leny Yoro from Lille for £58.91m. United have verbally agreed personal terms with Matthijs de Ligt of Bayern Munich but have not officially tabled a bid.

United are also struggling to reinforce their midfield as they have not sold any members of that department. Interest in Casemiro from Saudi Pro League clubs has waned due to their focus on younger recruits and the Brazilian is under contract until 2026. United have rejected bids for Scott McTominay from Fulham and Christian Eriksen expects to see out the final year of his contract at the club.

Manuel Ugarte of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, free agent Adrien Rabiot and former loanee Sofyan Amrabat have all been discussed as a possible midfield incoming.
