But Catalin Popa and Ovidiu Haţegan - the officials in the VAR room - would step on to rule out potentially vital goals, whilst there were other key instances where the video team opted against sending referee Horatiu Fesnic to the monitor. Confidence is rock bottom at Ibrox after Michael Beale was sacked, but some narrow calls failed to help Davis and his new-look management team lift off against an impressive Aris.
