Zion Suzuki rejects Manchester United

Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has rejected Manchester United to join Belgian club STVV. It is understood United agreed a fee with Urawa Red Diamonds for Suzuki but he favoured a move to the Belgian Pro League side.

STVV are a Japanese-owned club. United felt Suzuki, 20, needed two more years before he was ready to have an impact in the Premier League.

United are looking to sign another goalkeeper this summer after the arrival of Andre Onana as their new number one. Goalkeeper Heaton, 37, sought clarification on his future during United’s pre-season tour of the United States amid interest from Luton Town and Hull City.
