Erik ten Hag could give another academy youngster a chance in the first-team set-up, with Elyh Harrison named in the Manchester United squad to face Newport County on Sunday afternoon.
The 17-year-old goalkeeper could be named on the bench alongside veteran Tom Heaton, with Altay Bayindir given his competitive debut from the start. United have had to shake things up in the goalkeeper department, with Andre Onana currently on his way back from the Africa Cup of Nations after Cameroon were eliminated by Nigeria on Saturday night.

Harrison joined United two years ago from Stevenage Town and initially signed a scholarship deal with the club. He impressed with his performances at the U18 level and was subsequently rewarded with his first professional contract last March.
The teenager is highly rated and has not only played above his age group at club level but has also featured in the same England U19 side as current United star Kobbie Mainoo.
Harrison has established himself as a fine penalty saver this season, stopping one against Leeds United U21s and then again in the following match against Stcokport County in the EFL Trophy.
Harrison has played well above his age level for both club and country and is one of the most promising homegrown goalkeepers of his generation.
