WWE: The Miz & Damien Mizdow's partnership was comedy gold

givemesport.com

The Miz and Damien “Mizdow” Sandow were one of the funnier double acts in recent WWE history, but a storyline that was eventually squandered.

The formation of the duo came after The Miz returned to Raw in the summer of 2014 after a two-month hiatus filming the WWE produced The Marine 4: Moving Target with a new gimmick, that of a Hollywood A-Lister (which he has largely stayed as since).

During his time away, Damien Sandow had transitioned from the “Intellectual saviour of the masses” persona to a celebrity impersonator, which set him up for his next role.

Soon, he was hired to be The Miz’s stunt double, at first taking most of his bumps in matches and protecting the “leading star” from all knocks, injuries and risks.
