Jack Grealish accepted an apology from Wolves' Nathan Collins after the defender caught him with a horror challenge during Manchester City's 3-0 win at Molineux.

Collins caught Grealish high and late in the 33rd minute of the match with City already leading 2-0, thanks to early goals from Grealish and Erling Haaland.

The young defender was shown a straight red card by referee Anthony Taylor and will now serve a three match suspension for serious foul play.

Grealish was in clear distress when the incident occurred but was fortunate to avoid serious injury. He played on until he was replaced by Cole Palmer in the second half, before featuring for England last week in a defeat to Italy. Jack Grealish will tell you that he is his own worst critic - well, perhaps Graeme Souness just shades it. Souness has not shied away from criticising the Manchester City attacker since his £100m move from Aston Villa last year, and over the past few weeks the dialogue between the pair has heated up with Grealish hitting back.
