West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui believes former Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka still has areas of his game to improve ahead of his reunion with the Reds on Sunday.
Wan-Bissaka was sold for £15m in the summer transfer window after slipping down the pecking order behind Diogo Dalot. To replace him, Erik ten Hag splashed £17.2m on Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui who was utilised as an attacking midfielder on Thursday night in the draw with Fenerbahce.
Since moving to the London Stadium, Wan-Bissaka has become a first-team regular for Lopetegui albeit his performance in the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend left a lot to be desired.
Ahead of the reunion with his old teammates at United, Wan-Bissaka was a topic of conversation in the pre-match press conference.
