Fans have expressed their astonishment at Timothee Chalamet's new look for an upcoming film role, with some stating they barely recognised the actor.
The star of Dune and Wonka is currently in New York City filming Marty Supreme. Chalamet will portray Marty Reisman, a real-life American table tennis champion who clinched the U.S.
singles championship in 1958 and 1960, and was crowned U.S. hardbat champion in 1997. Reisman, who passed away in 2012, won five bronze medals at world championships throughout his career and penned an autobiography titled The Money Player: Confessions of America's Greatest Table Tennis Champion and Hustler, reports the Mirror.
Josh Safdie, known for his work on Uncut Gems starring Adam Sandler, co-wrote and directed the film about Reisman. While Chalamet is portraying a real-life former sports star, the film is said to be more a piece of fiction about real people than a biopic.
