Mohamed Salah has signed a new Liverpool contract, keeping him at the club until at least 2025. Following months of speculation and the very real possibility that he could leave for free next summer, the Reds have secured the future of their star man, making him their highest paid player ever in doing so.

Salah’s extension was confirmed by Liverpool’s official Twitter account, with their website providing further details about the new contract.

James Pearce of The Athletic and Paul Joyce of The Times both report that Salah has penned a deal worth in excess of £350,000-per-week, putting to bed previous financial disagreements that had seen negotiations begin to stall.

Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, the Egypt international explained his delight over the extension: “I feel great and [I am] excited to win trophies with the club.
