Swansea City 1-0 Norwich City: Forson own goal sees Swans ease to victory

walesonline.co.uk

Swansea City picked up their second win of the Championship season after edging past Norwich City in an entertaining encounter at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The Swans were ahead after just four minutes when Amankwah Forson turned Eom Jisung's low cross into his own net, and held on to claim all three points despite some late heavy pressure form the visitors.Norwich had a number of good chances to restore parity throughout the afternoon.

Josh Sargent in particular might well be wondering how he didn't find the net after spurning several really promising opportunities in an action-packed first half.

Realistically, the visitors will probably feel aggrieved they didn't take something from this game. But while his side admittedly rode their luck for much of the afternoon, this still felt like a potentially positive step in the right direction for Luke Williams - and perhaps put concerns over any short-comings in the transfer window to one side, for the time being, at least.
