Bolton Wanderers have been given a 12 per cent chance of achieving automatic promotion out of League One to the Championship this season, according to Reach's in-house supercomputer.

The Whites will soon begin their second season back in the third tier of English football on the road to Ipswich Town. Ian Evatt's side won promotion back to the division following a top three finish in League Two in the 2020/21 season.

Last campaign, Wanderers ended the season with a top 10 finish with a final position of ninth and 10 points from the play-offs.

The Whites are aiming to bridge that gap this campaign and challenge for the top six in earnest.
