Al-Ettifaq added a Celtic twist to their unveiling of Jack Hendry and Moussa Dembele as Steven Gerrard brought the former Parkhead duo to the Saudi Pro League.

The former Rangers boss has taken the former Celtic centre- back and striker to his new club with him in the Middle East as he overhauls the squad some big spending.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is also set to follow the Scotland international and former Lyon frontman to Ettifaq as the revamped league continues to spend big.

Gerrard will know the duo well from his time in the Scottish Premiership and the Al-Ettifaq were keen to make a nod to the Hoops connection during their announcement of the pair.
