Former Hamilton Accies kid Jon McCracken is one of three Lanarkshire players called up for Scotland’s Nations League double-header against Croatia and Portugal this month.

Former Norwich keeper McCracken, from Wishaw, retains his place, having been called up for the first time last month. The uncapped Dundee shot-stopper is joined by Celtic defender Anthony Ralston, who attended Airdrie’s All Saints Primary, and Rutherglen’s Kenny McLean, who is with Norwich City.

Scotland take on Croatia on Saturday, October 12, in their Nations League A Group 1 clash at the Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb.

They then host Portugal at Hampden on Tuesday, October 15. There are three new faces in the squad that Steve Clarke has named, with Aberdeen defender Nicky Devlin, Preston North End stopper Liam Lindsay and West Ham midfielder Andy Irving included.
