Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has responded to the club closing in on the signing of Lille defender Leny Yoro. The Old Trafford club had a bid accepted for the 18-year-old last weekend, even though the player was keen on a move to Real Madrid, but the Spanish club didn’t match United’s bid.
He has now completed the first part of his medical with United and is set to sign a five-year contract with the option of a sixth year.
Yoro caught the eye with his performances in both Ligue 1 and the Europa Conference League with Lille last season. He made 44 appearances in all competitions as the club finished in fourth place in the table.
