Rangers received a boost ahead of their scheduled clash with Napoli after the Italians confirmed that striker Victor Osimhen suffered an arm injury.

The frontman had to be subbed during the Serie A outfit’s 4-1 opening night Champions League Group A victory over Liverpool.

While Luciano Spalletti’s side were taking the six-time European champions apart, Rangers were suffering their own Euro nightmare as Ajax put them to the sword in Amsterdam, running out 4-0 winners.

Gio van Bronckhorst ’s side are due to host Napoli at Ibrox next Tuesday. However, with the UK in a national period of mourning following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, the club are in talks with their opponents and UEFA over whether the game will go ahead.
