Philippe Clement in Rangers crisis LIVE as Kevin Muscat and 5 others touted to become next boss

When pundits are calling for you to be sacked on live TV, you know your tea’s out. Philippe Clement will probably limp on for a while longer but it’s looking increasingly likely the game’s up for him at Rangers.

And little wonder. A 2-1 defeat – his third of the season – to Aberdeen on Wednesday night leaves the Ibrox side a whopping nine points behind not only Celtic but to the Dons as well.

It’s proving too much for Kris Boyd – and for the supporter base in general. Boyd wants the Belgian out now but with a Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Motherwell to come on Sunday, it remains to be seen what interim chairman John Gilligan and his board do.

After all, Clement signed a new contract just in August although Rangers do seem to sack their managers at this time of year every year. Follow us for all the news, views and analysis in our LIVE blog. With Philippe Clement coming under increasing pressure the fans - and the bookies - are already looking to who could be the next boss.
