Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will have been delighted this week to welcome back Jack Grealish to first-team training ahead of the visit of Nottingham Forest.
Before his injury, Grealish was continuing to show his ability to adapt to what City need from their wingers. Early criticism of the former Aston Villa man suggested he was perhaps too safe for the Blues and was reluctant to attack defenders like he did during his time in the West Midlands.
But, the 28-year-old found his feet and last season became one of the first names on the teamsheet thanks to his creativity.
This is why it was ultimately a shame to see Grealish's campaign temporarily halted.
