Manchester City are enjoying their current successes thanks to players like Franny Lee, Pep Guardiola says. City are remembering club legend Lee, who sadly passed away this week aged 79.

Part of the great City team who won the First Division, FA Cup, League Cup and Cup Winner's Cup between 1968-70, Lee was not only one of City's most decorated players but a former chairman between 1994-98.

Paying tribute, Guardiola said: "He is a part of what we are. "The reality, the day by day, we are because of people like Franny Lee, Colin Bell, Mike Summerbee, the people of the last generation who helped build this club, this organisation.

To the wife and all the family I send a huge hug."
