Paul Scholes says Jadon Sancho should be the man to start in place of Antony if the Brazilian is injured for the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
The 23-year-old looked in some distress following a tackle from Trevoh Chalobah in Thursday’s 4-1 win over Chelsea and had to be taken off by stretcher before the half-hour mark.
Erik ten Hag confirmed after the game that the problem is “serious” with the trip to Wembley just nine days away. The £85m signing, who will be assessed over the next 24 hours, has played 44 United games since his arrival, all but five being starts.
His potential absence opens up a starting spot for one of his colleagues with several options available.
