Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Omar Berrada as their new CEO, but Erik ten Hag will have to wait before he can get to work with his new boss.

Berrada's arrival at Old Trafford signals a change of focus at United as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group await for their partial stake in the club to be ratified.

The club has confirmed that they will put "football and performance" at the heart of their focus going forward. A statement confirming his appointment said: "The club is determined to put football and performance on the pitch back at the heart of everything we do.
