Newcastle United may be able to tempt Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic to St James’ Park if they make the ‘right offer’ to the American, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs. Eddie Howe was handed more than £120 million to bolster his squad during the summer transfer window and will have the chance to invest further at the turn of the year.
Newcastle were interested in taking the 24-year-old to the North East on loan following the end of last season, according to The Athletic, with Chelsea teammates Armando Broja, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Conor Gallagher also of interest.
However, the Blues were only understood to be ready to sell the attacker and were not open a temporary deal. Juventus also wanted to sign Pulisic in the summer window and were willing to accept his services as part of a deal for centre-back Matthijs De Ligt.
But the Dutchman eventually joined German giants Bayern Munich in a £68 million deal, leaving Pulisic at Stamford Bridge beyond the deadline.
