Marcus Rashford sets Manchester United targets after signing new contract

Marcus Rashford wants Manchester United to mount a serious Premier League title challenge next season and has set himself the target of beating his career-high tally of 30 goals.

Rashford committed his long-term future to United on Tuesday by putting pen to paper on a new five-year contract which will keep him at the club until 2028, with the option of a further 12 months.

The 25-year-old was happy to remain at Old Trafford after United's dramatic improvement under Erik ten Hag last season. For a while, it looked as though a title challenge could have even been mounted in the Dutchman's debut campaign but United eventually fell away.

It was still a positive year with the trophy drought coming to an end with a Carabao Cup triumph and a return to Champions League football secured.
