While no reason has been given for the 24-year-old's absence from the travelling party, the news comes just one day before England manager Gareth Southgate names his latest Three Lions squad for the final Nations League Games later this month.

Rashford has not played for his country since the Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy in July 2021 after struggling for form last campaign.
