Christian Eriksen has insisted it is an 'honour' to be compared to Manchester United legend Paul Scholes after a strong start to his time with the club.

The Dane arrived at Old Trafford on a free transfer from Brentford in the summer, signing a contract until June 2025. The move saw Eriksen reunite with United boss Erik ten Hag, who helped facilitate his return from the cardiac arrest he suffered at Euro 2020 by inviting him to train with Ajax during his rehabilitation.

During his time with the Bees, the 30-year-old grabbed a goal and four assists in the Premier League, with his impressive showings leading the Reds to make a move for his services.
