Paul Scholes says Casemiro needs support in central midfield if he's to operate to the best of his ability at Manchester United.
The Brazilian started his second game since arriving in the 3-2 Europa League win over Omonia Nicosia on Thursday. It’s been a slow start for the five-time Champions League winner, whose four Premier League appearances have all come from the bench.
He is yet to instil himself as the presence United had hoped for in the centre of the park and was largely subdued in the match in Cyprus.
Scholes believes he needs runners around him so he can operate as he did at Real Madrid when playing alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
