Manchester United have confirmed that Ruud van Nistelrooy will speak to the media at the pre-match press conference before the clash with Chelsea, as talks continue over Ruben Amorim.
United's press conference will take place on Thursday and will be the first without Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman was sacked on Monday morning after a dismal run of results left United 14th in the Premier League table and without a win in the Europa League after three outings.
The Manchester Evening News revealed on Monday evening that Ruben Amorim had agreed a deal in principle to become the next United boss.
United will have to pay Sporting €10million in compensation, a fee which is deemed an acceptable fee by the United hierarchy.
