The emergency meeting involving Premier League clubs this week to discuss Manchester City's legal dispute over sponsorship rules has been cancelled.
Last week, three former judges found that APT rules which restrict businesses who are connected with owners of football clubs from inflating sponsorship deals were unlawful.
The ruling discovered that these rulings were not in line with the UK's laws which advance competition in business. After the ruling, the Premier League were keen to find a quick resolution and argue that although some aspects of the APT rules would need to be altered, the spirit of the rules were approved by the panel.
In this case, Manchester United, City and the remainder of the Premier League member clubs were invited to a number of meetings this week, so that changes could be made.
