Manchester United have reportedly identified Sporting Clube de Portugal star Morten Hjulmand as an alternative signing to Manuel Ugarte.
Although personal terms have been agreed with Uruguay international Ugarte, negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain are thought to have hit a stumbling block with clubs unable to settle on a price.
PSG are said to be standing firm on their valuation of £59million (€70m), which United are currently unwilling to meet. The Old Trafford outfit are reportedly growing frustrated and may decide to pursue alternative transfer targets.
According to Metro, one alternative option appears to be Hjulmand, who has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
