Manchester United have been given a major boost to their hopes of signing Manuel Ugarte. The 23-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer as Erik ten Hag looks to strengthen his options in the middle of the park.
Ugarte, who sees his contract at Les Parc des Princes expire in June 2028, featured 25 times for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 last season, providing three assists.
Despite playing a key role in a title-winning domestic campaign, he struggled to force himself into Luis Enrique'sside in the Champions League.
Once the Parisians had qualified for the knockout stages, the Uruguay international was sidelined. Nevertheless, after just 12 months in the French capital, Ugarte faces an uncertain future – and the Red Devils have emerged as potential suitors.
