Ruben Amorim has agreed a deal to become the next manager of Manchester United, just months after he was close to taking over at Liverpool.
Following the sacking of Erik ten Hag on Monday, United are eager to swiftly appoint a replacement and could even unveil their new head coach before Chelsea's visit to Old Trafford this weekend.
The first task for Amorim, 39, will be to steady the wobbling ship, particularly with the club miles off the European places at present.
After that, some squad restructuring may be in order, especially with the January transfer window fast approaching. According to Portuguese publication JN, the Sporting boss identified three players he'd want to sign during his discussions with Liverpool - and as fate would have it, all three are also reportedly on United's transfer radar.
