Manchester City youngster Darko Gyabi has completed a £5m move to Premier League side Leeds United. Pep Guardiola has pounced to sign Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips as the Blues look to freshen up their midfield following Fernandinho's departure after nine years at the club.

But as well as pocketing a guaranteed £42m for Phillips, Leeds have struck a deal to sign promising midfielder Gyabi from the City academy.

Gyabi was not involved in a matchday squad under Guardiola but impressed during his time in Manchester despite seeing last season hampered by injuries.

He will now hope to fast-track his plan for first team football at Elland Road, where Jesse Marsch has already shown a willingness to turn to the club's young talent in his short time in charge.
