Manchester City will assess Erling Haaland's ability to play against Brentford this afternoon after the sad passing of a close family friend this week.
Pep Guardiola says City will give Haaland time off if he requires it and that the striker will be assessed 'mentally and physically' to determine if he can face Brentford.
Nathan Ake will definitely be out after picking up a muscle injury on international duty, but Phil Foden and Savinho are in line to return after illness and injury issues, while Rodri could be in line for his first appearance of the season for City.
City have not lost at home since Brentford were victorious in November 2022 - 44 games ago - although they did edge past Thomas Frank's side last season in the Premier League.
