Maidstone United have made their first summer signing. Midfielder Devonte Aransibia has joined the Stones from local rivals Tonbridge.
He scored seven goals in 29 appearances for the Angels in National South after signing from Welling in November. “It’s a very competitive league,” Aransibia told Stones TV. “Teams are getting better. “With Maidstone dropping back into Conference South, there’s a lot of competition and I’m excited - looking forward to it.” Maidstone are rebuilding following relegation from the National League.
Aransibia, who came through the academy at Norwich, fits the bill. He said: “I’m an attacking midfielder, I like to score goals and I also like to do the defending side of things. “You’ll enjoy my football and I will give my all for the club and try and achieve very good things.” Yesterday, Maidstone announced the 11 players who will be leaving this summer.
