Liverpool will face competition in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham this summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The 19-year-old midfielder has attracted the interest from a number of Europe’s biggest sides since joining the Bundesliga side in 2020.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool are interested in making a move for Bellingham next summer in a bid to revamp their midfield, but face competition from sides such as Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Jürgen Klopp will be looking at identifying potential midfield additions up to and including next year’s summer transfer window, with three of his midfield options being out of contract at the end of the season, whilst Arthur Melo’s initial loan move comes to an end at the conclusion of the campaign.
