Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will have ‘only been impressed’ by Jude Bellingham’s performances for England during the international break as the Reds continue to be linked with the teenager, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke. Klopp was handed over £90 million to bolster his squad during the summer transfer window but he could soon splash even more cash on new recruits.
The 19-year-old was named man of the match after England’s 3-3 draw with Germany at Wembley on Monday night. The Three Lions fought back from a 2-0 deficit to lead 3-2 on the night, with Bellingham winning the penalty from which Harry Kane fired the hosts in front, only for Kai Havertz to level moments later.
After full time, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson praised the Borussia Dortmund star’s ‘mentality’ and labelled him as an ‘amazing player’.
The Reds have been strongly linked with a move for Bellingham and are understood to be making progress in their efforts to buy him next summer.
