A police scene is in place on a busy Manchester city centre road after a man was stabbed in the early hours of Saturday. The victim, in his 30s, was taken to hospital after being knifed in the back and arm.
Police say the attack took place on Bridge Street around 3.30am. His injuries are not thought to be 'life-threatening or life changing'.
A stretch of pavement outside the Cafe Instanbul restaurant has been cordoned off. Earlier police were seen searching the pavement and forensic investigators are at the scene.
