Lidl has begun advertising on a billboard in a genius location in Manchester city centre beside a new Liam Gallagher mural. The supermarket giant has commissioned an advert for their 24p 'jacket' potatoes on Oldham Road in Manchester, conveniently beneath the painted mural of Gallagher wearing a new £400 Berghaus jacket.

It comes just days after fans hilariously mocked the Manchester musician upon the release his new collaboration photos with the major fashion brand. Berghaus used the colours made famous by the budget supermarket chain for their big collab - and it didn't go unnoticed. He was mocked by fans for donning the £400 item, dubbed the 'Lidl jacket'.

A painted mural replicating the new collaboration was recently completed off Oldham Street in Ancoats. An image taken by photographer @Manc_wanderer shows the 'Lidl Jacket' billboard conveniently placed beneath the recently unveiled mural.
