Lewis Ferguson is now better than two of Serie A's celebrated midfielders, Adrian Rabiot and Teun Koopmeiners, according to his Bologna boss Thiago Motta.

The Scotland international equalled the legendary Denis Law's 61-year-old goalscoring record as the highest-scoring Scot in Serie A with a goal last weekend against Lazio to take his tally to ten.

Former Aberdeen player Ferguson already scored three goals this season which is more than Juventus and France star Rabiot and Atalanta and Netherlands ace Koopmeiners.

And he's been ranked as more influential than both of them in Serie A stats. But that doesn't come as any surprise to manager Motta.
