Matt O'Riley has targeted a Euro 2024 Championship D-Day for Denmark against some Celtic team-mates and Scotland. The Hoops midfielder made his international debut in a defeat for the Danes against Northern Ireland this week to boost his chances of being part of Kasper Hjulmand's squad for the finals in Germany next summer.
Denmark have been seeded in pot two with Steve Clarke's Scotland in pot three which leaves the possibility of the nations being on a group collision course when the tournament draw takes place in Hamburg on Saturday December 2.
It's a prospect of coming up against Celtic dressing room pals like Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor which O'Riley admits will have the entire squad on tenterhooks and tuning into the draw next weekend.
He said: “There is the possibility Denmark could play Scotland at the Euros next summer. “We’ll see what happens as it’s a long way away yet.
