Leeds are still targeting a move for Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke. The Elland Road club are long-term admirers of the Chile international, and O’Rourke reckons the ex-Nottingham Forest star could be available on the cheap this summer.
With Jesse Marsch yet to add a striker to his ranks this window, Football Insider claim that Leeds are still keen on signing Brereton Diaz, who enjoyed the best goalscoring season of his career in 2021-22.
In fact, the report states that Leeds sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old in Blackburn’s pre-season match against Accrington Stanley earlier this month.
He didn’t find the net on that occasion but did score against Celtic last weekend and has several Premier League and La Liga sides on his radar.
