Now New Zealander McGarry urged Dons to whip up their own storm by beating St Mirren and Ross County before the winter break.

He said: “After two games being off I’m just raring to go. We try not to think too much about being behind and catching up. We just focus on every game as they come.

There are two massive games before the winter break and we want to win both, so we will have to be on our A game. We always look forward to playing at home as our fans can help us along the way.” There will be a few familiar faces for McGarry when St Mirren travel north today He played against Keanu Baccus and Ryan Strain in the A-League and knows all about his fellow Kiwi Alex Greive.
