Manchester United legend Denis Irwin thinks Manchester City will gain even more momentum and confidence after winning the Treble.

United became the first English side to complete the Treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in '99, with the final trophy being won in dramatic circumstances against Bayern Munich at Camp Nou.

It's taken over two decades for that achievement to be equalled, but Pep Guardiola's side have enjoyed a remarkable campaign which ended with victory in the Champions League against Inter Milan.

United had the opportunity to deny City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on their way to Istanbul, but the Blues won that game 2-1 thanks to a brace from Ilkay Gundogan and poor goalkeeping from David de Gea.
