Former Manchester United midfielder Fred says he couldn't say no to Jose Mourinho when he came calling in 2018. It was the Portuguese head coach who sanctioned the reported £47million move for the Brazilian from Shakhtar Donetsk.

After a tough start to life at Old Trafford, Fred would establish himself as a regular starter in the heart of midfield, making 213 appearances across a five year stint.

The Brazilian scored 14 times for United before joining Turkish outfit Fenerbahce last summer. It's there, where the 31-year-old has had a reunion with former United boss Mourinho and the pair are gearing up for a clash with their former club later this week.
